Introducing Red Dog Glass Design, a new line of fine art glass panels from Opticolour and Sally Coulden
We are delighted to announce our collaboration with professional abstract artist Sally Coulden. Sally’s bold, vibrant paintings form the foundation for Red Dog Glass Design, a new limited-edition collection of fine art glass panels for kitchens, bathrooms and interiors, manufactured to order by Opticolour.
A new and exciting concept in bathroom and kitchen design, Red Dog Glass Design brings original fine art into your living space. The artwork can be scaled to any size to suit your needs. It looks both stylish and striking as a splashback, shower wall, bathroom wall covering, and in communal reception areas and hotel settings. Red Dog Glass Design offers the opportunity to enjoy fine art in a practical, made-to-measure format.
Glass panels are a highly practical solution for interiors, but the Red Dog Glass Design collection is anything but plain and utilitarian. Created from Sally’s paintings, the digitally printed panels are richly hued and visually arresting, bringing culture and refinement to areas of the home that are often designed to be purely functional. The lustrous glass finish adds an extra dimension to the colourful artwork, enhancing its vibrancy and bringing out all the glorious details and mark making.
Sally chose to work with Opticolour because of its reputation for high quality manufacturing and exceptional customer service. We use state-of-the-art technology to ensure a pin-sharp image, and the clearest possible glass for the greatest optical clarity. Our toughened glass panels are subject to rigorous quality control processes and are only approved if considered flawless. We also offer a survey and installation service – our experienced surveyors will measure your space with millimetre precision and will return to install your finished panel, ensuring a perfect fit. Both panels and installation are guaranteed for 10 years.
Sally, who is based in Bristol, is fast becoming established as a name to watch on the UK art scene. She recently exhibited in London, at the internationally renowned ‘The Other Art Fair’ (presented by Saatchi Art) and her work is attracting attention from many quarters of the international art world. Red Dog Glass Design was also a finalist in the prestigious Bristol Life Business Awards 2019 (Homes & Interiors category).
So, what’s the story behind Red Dog Glass Design? The name was inspired by the painted images of red dogs found on the walls of ancient caves. This is where early man gathered for warmth, shelter and community. Sally wanted to convey this essential sense of what home means, and how it meets our most basic human longings.
