We’re welcoming in the summer months here at Opticolour with four new options for the upcoming season. Comprising two light colours and two new additions to our Metallic range, our Spring/Summer 19 collection offers kitchen colour ideas to suit any style of interior.
Wasabi is a pretty pale green that still packs plenty of punch. Softer and subtler than lime green, it’s nonetheless a fresh, zesty shade that will liven up your space. Reminiscent of the soothing greens of nature, Wasabi would combine well with wooden finishes to create a cosy, organic feel, while also pairing perfectly with greys and blues for the ultimate calming colour palette. Combined with white, the effect would be light, bright and beautiful.

Classic and sophisticated with a playful edge, Stardust is a dark grey with cool brown undertones. Endlessly versatile and never out of fashion, this neutral shade has been given a glamorous update with our light-catching metallic treatment. Stardust would complement a traditional room design yet also provide it with a modern edge, while the combination of sober colour and jazzy finish would give a subtle lift to a minimalist interior. Equally, it would add depth and interest to a bright, contemporary space – in fact, we can’t think of many kitchen colour ideas that wouldn’t work with this winning shade!
Blue Spinel takes the trend for dark blue walls and gives it a twist with our popular metallic finish. This mid-toned denim shade is still a fashionable choice for kitchens, living rooms and dining spaces, bringing a cosy yet sophisticated vibe to both traditional and contemporary interiors. Set against white cabinetry or furniture it would create a classic coastal look, while paired with natural wooden materials the effect would be warm yet elegant. The metallic finish catches the light, making this a great option for darker spaces.

Our hand-painted Cobweb glass adds bold design to a room without overpowering the rest of the space. This new colour combination features a unique abstract silver pattern on a white background – a delicate addition to this highly contemporary range. Its light neutral appearance allows it to work with many other kitchen colour ideas, while its unusual, eye-catching design looks particularly good with minimalist cabinetry and simple interior schemes. The barely-there silver thread is perfect for adding subtle visual interest to a light, calm space.
