Opticolour launches new spring/ summer 2018 coloured glass collection

The doors and windows are open at Opticolour HQ in the heart of the Somerset countryside, so we can really enjoy the views of rolling green hills bathed in glorious sunshine. What a difference from last month, when the ground was covered in several inches of snow! To celebrate the arrival of spring we are launching four new vibrant shades of coloured glass that will bring that sunny feeling to your home all year round.

English Mustard colour
Parma Violet colour
Pink Lemonade colour
Teal colour

The four new shades – English Mustard, Parma Violet, Pink Lemonade and Teal – have a country garden feel and echo the classic interior design trick of bringing hues from nature into the house to create a colour scheme that is cheerful without being gaudy or overpowering. Nature’s palette is always a great place to look for inspiration, especially when mixing and matching different shades.

Our new collection reflects this enduring trend for colours that are bold but slightly muted – recreated as coloured glass panels they offer a fresh, modern take on classic British style. The traditional roots of these colours make them ideal for country-style interiors, while they really pack a punch in a modern, minimalist setting.

English Mustard has warm, glowing tones that mix well with natural wood finishes and really stand out against paler cabinets, while Parma Violet is rich, intense and very relaxing to look at! Pink Lemonade is a soft shade that still has all the fizz of its namesake, while Teal has cooler tones that bring freshness and vitality to a space.

We often hear that customers want to be more playful with colour in their homes but are wary of very vivid shades, and we think our new coloured glass panels offer the perfect solution. Because they are based on traditional interior colour palettes, these new shades are rich and vibrant yet still look classic and sophisticated and can, in our opinion, be used with absolute confidence.
